Diversity is what characterises its population coming from all over the world. Markets and shops of all kinds turn the city into a shopping paradise. METRO:

The subway system in New York is the fastest way to access almost anywhere. It has almost 500 stations which you can move in and out of Manhattan on the same ticket. It operates 24 hours a day. It is relatively easy, but sometimes it can be complicated. Our best advice is that when you are not sure, always enquire.
Prices:

  • Single ticket: $ 2,
  • Daily Pass: U.S. $ 7.50
  • Weekly Pass: $ 25
  • 14 days: $ 47
BUS:

The bus stops are clearly marked with map and are frequent. The frequency is pretty good but obviously, at night, there are fewer buses.
To access them you need a MetroCard or pay the driver $ 2,
They are operated by the transport company of the city, MTA (Metropolitan Transpor Authority), the same network that controls the subway.

TAXI:

There are plenty of taxis in New York. But it's hard to find one when it is raining or during peak hours (between 5 and 7 pm). Just getting into the taxi costs $ 2.50, and it is about a dollar for every kilometer. Overall, the typical journey is about $ 9. Remember to tip the driver, if not he will be furious. Typically you round it up to the next dollar.

Trains, buses, shuttles and taxis connect the airport with the urban area.

TRAIR AIR:

The first thing you find when you arrive at JFK Airport will be the Air Trair, a fairly modern subway line linking the airport terminals with different Metro networks in NY. The price is fixed, $ 5.

Buses

Trans-Bridge bus lines go to JFK three times per day, ending at the Bus Terminal Port Authority in Manhattan ($ 12).
The Express Bus Service from New York Airport travel to Grand Central Station and Penn Station in Midtown to Manhattan. These depart every 20-30 minutes ($ 15).

From the LA GUARDIA airport to the city:

La Guardia Airport is located off Flushing Bay in Queens about 13 km (8 miles) from the center of Manhattan.

Several bus lines connect the airport with Manhattan and Queens, subway stations and the JFK Airport, with Manhattan and SuperShuttle door to door. The taxi ride to Manhattan takes 30 to 40 minutes. In the arrivals area, where you collect your baggage, there is information on the shuttle service.

From Newark Airport to the city:

Newark Airport is located 3 km (2 miles) from the eponymous town in the state of New Jersey and 26 miles southwest of New York

Trains, buses, shuttles and taxis connect the airport with the urban area. In all terminals there is transport information. The terminals are connected by a free shuttle train (AirTrain Newark) and buses which connect the various car parks.
